Arrival in Yerevan – capital city of Armenia. Meeting at the airport Zvartnots by the representative of “L & I Tour”. Transfer to a hotel. Accommodation and a little rest. |
| 08 June | Yerevan – Geghard – Garni – Sevan – Yerevan
Breakfast in hotel. Journey to the cave monastery Geghard, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Then you will go to Garni temple which towers over a triangular cape, is the unique survived example of heathen culture in Armenia. It is a blend of Greco-Roman and Armenian styles. Dinner in restaurant with lavash baking ceremony. Journey to Lake Sevan, the largest lake in Caucasus and the highest fresh-water lake in the world.Return to hotel. |
| 09 June | Yerevan – Khor Virap- Noravank – Tatev – Yerevan
Breakfast in hotel. A trip to the monastery of Khor Virap, from where the most delightful view of the Biblical mountain Ararat opens. After travelling to the village of Areni and tasting local wine in the cellar of Areni. You will continue your tour to Noravank – a valley of red rocks. Dinner at a restaurant near Noravank. Trip to Tatev where you will see the monastery of Tatev, founded in the ninth century. There is also the longest ropeway in the world (5.7 km), which is included in the Guinness Book of Records. Return to Yerevan. |
| 10 June | Yerevan – Saint Echmiatsin – Saint Gayane – Zvartnots Temple – ARARAT Cognac Factory – Yerevan
Breakfast in hotel. The day will begin with a visit to Cafesjian Center for the Arts. The Cafesjian Center for the Arts is dedicated to bringing the best of contemporary art to Armenia and presenting the best of Armenian culture to the world. Visit to The Holy center of Armenia, Saint Echmiatsin that was built in 303 A.D., considered as the eldest among all Christian churches around the world. The museum preservers many relics: the spearhead that was used to pierce the rib of Christ, relics from Noah’s ark, and Jesus’s cross. Also, you’ll visit Saint Gayane that is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List along with Saint Echmiatcin and The Zvartnoc Cathedral which is a marvelous temple is a result of skillfulness and brave creativity of Armenian architects of the 7th century. At the end of the day you’ll get acquainted with the history of brandy making in Armenia, follow its production phases and enjoy the delicious taste and flavor of different kinds of ARARAT brandies just from the first hand. Return to hotel. |
| 11 June | Departure Breakfast in hotel. It’s time for shopping in Yerevan. We will visit the Vernisage – souvenir market, where you can buy souvenirs, gold and silver products, ceramics and local products which are in high demand among the tourists. Transfer to the airport Zvartnots. Fare you well! |
