Arrival in Yerevan – capital city of Armenia. Meeting at the airport Zvartnots by the representative of “L & I Tour”. Transfer to a hotel. |
| 10.08 | City Tour – Megerian Carpet – Noy wine and Brandy factory
The tour starts from the heart of Yerevan city, the Republic Square, where you can get in touch with the great history of Armenia through the magnificent architectural ensemble that surrounds the Republic Square. We will visit the Vernisage – souvenir market, where you can buy souvenirs, gold and silver products, ceramics and local products which are in high demand among the tourists. Visit Megerian Carpet Factory, where you will take a tour and you will get acquainted with Armenian carpet history and technique. Visit Noy Brandy and wine factory.where after the tour, we will taste “Noy” wines and brandies. Return to Yerevan. |
| 11.08 | Yerevan – Khor Virap- Noravank – Tatev – Yerevan
Breakfast in hotel. A trip to the monastery of Khor Virap, from where the most delightful view of the Biblical mountain Ararat opens. After travelling to the village of Areni and tasting local wine in the cellar of Areni. You will continue your tour to Noravank – a valley of red rocks. Dinner at a restaurant near Noravank. Trip to Tatev where you will see the monastery of Tatev, founded in the ninth century. There is also the longest ropeway in the world (5.7 km), which is included in the Guinness Book of Records. Return to Yerevan. |
| 12.08 | Saghmosavank – Alphabet Alley – Amberd Fortress – Voskevaz winery
Breakfast in hotel. Journey to Saghmosavank: 13th century Armenian monastic complex located in the Aragatsotn Province. The complex is situated at the gorge of the River Kasagh. You will also see the monument to the Armenian alphabet in the form of 36 letters carved from tuff. . Journey to the Amberd Fortress, which is a historical defense complex on the slope of the Aragats mountain and includes the VII century castle and the XI century church. The fortress is one of the visited places in Armenia among the tourists and local residents. Next stop is “Voskevaz winery” which is one of the oldest wineries in the region since 1932. Today the winery produces wine using both modern winemaking technology and traditional old karases. This includes – wine cellars tour, museum, brief introduction to the winery’s history, winemaking technologies and particularities and wine tasting. Return to Yerevan. |
| 13.08 | Cognac day – Geghard – Garni – Yerevan
Breakfast in hotel. The day will begin with a visit to Matenadaran Museum, which is the repository of one of the richest collections of manuscripts in the world. The next stop included in this group tour is Yerevan Brandy Factory, where the visitors will have a chance to get familiar with the history of the legendary Armenian Brandy, as well as to taste and purchase brandy directly from the factory. Journey to the cave monastery Geghard, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Then you will go to Garni temple which towers over a triangular cape, is the unique survived example of heathen culture in Armenia. It is a blend of Greco-Roman and Armenian styles. Dinner in restaurant with lavash baking ceremony.Return to Yerevan. |
| 14.08 | Yerevan – Tsaghkadzor – Sevan (Sevanavank) – Dilijan – Yerevan
Breakfast in hotel. Journey to Tsaghkadzor and rise on Tsaghkadzor ropeway. Visiting famous Kecharis monastery and enjoying Armenian cross-stones. Journey to Lake Sevan, the largest lake in Caucasus and the highest fresh-water lake in the world. Dinner in Sevan. Journey to Dilijan – famous mountain climatic resort in Armenia. Return to Yerevan. Next stop is “Davtyan’s wine yard. Family Wine Yard where you can enjoy Armenian Home-made Wine and traditional food. Return to Yerevan. |
